SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police are investigating the death of a 28-year-old Savannah man found in a swimming pool on Wednesday.
Det. Keith Dennis said Antonius "Tony" L. Ramis appeared to have died Wednesday after falling into a pool he was cleaning and hitting his head, according to SCMPD. He was found by a relative in the pool at the family residence on Parsons Lane in The Landings about 3 p.m. Wednesday.
The relative and golfers who heard her screams pulled Ramis out of the pool and called 911. He was declared dead at the scene.
An autopsy has been scheduled Thursday at the Georgia Bureau of Investigation crime lab in Savannah.
The incident remains under investigation.
