More of our Third Infantry Division troops are back home this morning. Last night, the First Brigade Combat Team arrived at Hunter Army Airfield, their colors leading the way. The plane touched down around 9pm, with First Brigade commander Col. William Grimsley and 200-plus soldiers on board. The colonel says he's very proud of his soldiers.
"The daily training that these guys do and the discipline that they do it with and just good morale and esprit that they always approach everything with," he said. "We can draw a straight line back from our home station training to our national training center rotation last November into deployment/training in Kuwait and on to the fight."
About 500 Third Infantry Division soldiers are still in the Middle East, working their way home.
