Tybee Island shuttle service begins

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Savannah and Tybee leaders on Monday launched new public roundtrip transit service to the beach.

The Tybee Island Shuttle makes two round trips a day, seven days a week, from Savannah to Tybee. The service is made possible and operated by the Coastal Regional Commission. It costs $3 per person each way.

Tybee Island leaders rode the shuttle from the beach to Savannah as part of Monday's ceremony.

Tybee Island Shuttle bus schedule:

  • Departs Savannah Visitors Center: 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
  • Departs Tybee (Tybrisa/Strand Roundabout): 10:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
  • Departs Tybee (North Beach Parking Lot): 10:45 a.m. and 5:45 p.m.
