4 more golf champs to compete in Heritage

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC (WTOC) - John Daly, Lucas Glover, Lee Janzen and Shaun Micheel have made early commitments to play in the 43rd annual Heritage.

The tournament takes place from April 18 to24 at the Harbour Town Golf Links. 

Defending Champion Jim Furyk, Davis Love III, Stewart Cink and Justin Leonard have already announced their participation.

Daly is a winner of the PGA Championship as well as the British Open; Glover won the 2009 U.S. Open at Bethpage Black, one of the toughest courses that the pros play; Janzen, a two-time champion of the U.S. Open, and Micheel, the 2003 PGA Champion at Oak Hill, according to the Heritage Golf Tournament.

    On Sunday afternoon WTOC ventured to Forsyth Park to see how people were beating the heat.  Despite a heat advisory being in effect until 8 p.m., children were enjoying the splash pad, while others were brave enough to play volleyball.
