House donated to firefighters for training

BLUFFTON, SC (WTOC) - Bluffton Fire firefighters are using a real house for training. They say the difference between regular training and training in a house is that firefighters don't know what they are getting into.

"This size house is what we consider our bread and butter house in our fire district. This is what we respond to the majority of our fires," said Bluffton Fire Cpt. Randy Hunter.

"We go to the burn building on the Beaufort Air Station twice a year and those guys know the layout of the building like the back of their hand and no matter what you can't change it up. And with house here, there's realism and they think on their feet."

Firefighters will continue to use the house for the next couple of months.
