A small, gem of a company in Beaufort is making good-fun and a pleasant sound nationally. The National Chamber of Commerce has named Kazoobie Incorporated one of this year's 75 Blue Ribbon Small Business Award winners across America. Kazoobie, as you either know or might have guessed, makes those great kazoos so many of us grew up with, and are still so enjoyed by kids today, plus some occasional older kids who have clearly shed all inhibitions! Kazoobie President Steven Murray tells us that the kazoo was invented in the U.S. all they way back in the 1840's, and he's justifiably proud that his company is: "…keeping an American heritage alive."
The company will receive its honor at a ceremony in Washington, D.C. in May. Congratulations to the National Chamber's Blue Ribbon Award winner, Kazoobie. And our thanks to the company for bringing continuous enjoyment to millions, both here and around the world, at a time when real-honest-to-goodness, remember-our-childhood fun seems harder and harder to come by.
