Fort Stewart breaks ground on new clinic

FORT STEWART, GA (WTOC) - Fort Stewart officials broke ground on the new 4th IBCT Soldier Family Care Clinic on Friday. The new clinic will be big enough to serve almost 8,000 soldiers and their family members.

"When we open this Solider Family Care Clinic, we're going to open it under the concept of what we call the patient center medical home. Which is easy access, focus on the patient, high quality care. And that is an important model for use" said Col. Paul Cordts, Winn Army Community Hospital.

The new clinic is on Highway 144 and is staffed by the 4th Brigade and Winn Army Community hospital. It is designed similarly to Hawks Medical Clinic at Fort Stewart.
