Family speaks out after arrests

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - A Savannah family reacts to the arrest of two men who are accused of the fatal shooting of their loved one.

Rashmael Young's family and friends relieved that those men are off the streets. The 19 year old was gunned down on March 5 in the middle of Nevada Street.

On Friday, Savannah-Chatham Metro Police officers and along with U.S. Marshals arrested Willie Moss and Javonte Wright on murder charges in connection with the shooting death of Young.

Young's family says they forgive the shooters and their families.

"My heart also goes out to the family and the two guys that did it. We're angry because you took someone that we loved very dearly, but we're not going to hold it in our hearts," Young's aunt said.

Moss and Wright remain at the Chatham County Detention Center.
