Rail work starts at Parris Island Gateway Crossing

OKATIE, SC (WTOC) - Beaufort-Jasper Water and Sewer Authority will start removing rails and repaving the railroad crossing Tuesday night on Parris Island Gateway at the Highway 21 intersection.

Crews are expected to finish work within a week, according to BJWSA.

Drivers will able to pass through the intersection, but crews will close individual lanes as needed. The work will be performed at night, and BJWSA's contractor will flag and direct traffic through the construction zones.
