SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Every year on the eve of St. Patrick's Day, Benedictine juniors get their class rings during a very meaningful ceremony.
"All the traditions, all your parents, all your fathers have stories, all your grandfathers have stories. It's passed on through the ages," said Benedictine Alum Brian Counihan, Sr.
"It was great. I like the ceremony. Most schools don't get to have a ceremony like we do, so I guess it puts a lot more into getting a ring," said junior Dennis Counihan.
The ring ceremony is generations old.
The cadets will march in the St. Patrick's Day Parade on Thursday.
