Vendors sell Irish goods downtown

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Many vendors downtown are out taking advantage of the crowds and hoping they will open their wallets.

Joseph Deacons traveled from Pennsylvania to sell his Irish-themed glasses, hats and toys to parade goers. He says his best customers are grandparents.

"I like the grandmas, especially the grandmas with big families. [They] usually pick the walking dogs and stuffed animals. I actually had grandmas from England get Mohawks," he said.

Deacons travels the country selling themed goods. He just got back from Marti Gras in new Orleans.
