SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) - Now that Savannah's celebration of St. Patrick's Day is over, it's time for Georgia's oldest city to crank up some serious music.
The Savannah Music Festival kicks off its 2011 concert series Thursday. The festival's eclectic mix of roots, classical and world music runs through April 9.
This year's lineup includes banjo virtuoso Bela (BAY-luh) Fleck, New Orleans R&B legend Allen Toussaint (TOO-saunt) and jazz singer Dianne Reeves.
The music festival marks its 22nd season in Savannah this year. The event features dozens concerts at venues throughout the city's downtown historic district.
