SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Second Harvest Food Bank is stepping into the spotlight thanks to the help from a local marketing firm. BowStern Marketing Communications announced the food bank the winner of their non-profit marketing competition in-front of the United Way building on Bull Street.
BowStern, based out of Florida, just opened a business in Savannah this year and as a way to celebrate their new location selected one non-profit, out of 25 applicants, to provide nearly $60,000 in free marketing.
"When we come to a community and open an office we do what we call Go First. A lot of people talk about doing good and what they are going to do; we dont put that in any of our literature we just start doing good" said Tom Derzypolski with BowStern.
BowStern will develop an integrated marketing plan for Second Harvest; which will include a marketing plan, branding, advertising, graphic design, public relations, and social media.
