EFFINGHAM COUNTY, GA (WTOC) - Effingham County Sheriff's Office says Georgia Highway 17 near Old Tusculum Road has reopened after a truck wreck.

A tractor trailer carrying logs jack-knifed, spilling the logs all over the road about 5 miles north of Guyton. Georgia Highway 17 had been closed both northbound and southbound in the area.

Deputies said the log truck was headed southbound and overcorrected when it wrecked.

It took several hours to clean up the mess. There were no injuries and no other vehicles were involved in the wreck.
