LONG CO., GA (WTOC) - The wildfire in Long County is now 90 percent contained. It took people from 35 agencies from as far away as Tennessee and Florida to help, but the woods haven't been the only area smoking.
The Ludowici Church of God continues to provide three meals a day to those fighting the fire.
Businesses and residents in the area have pitched in by donating food and money to make sure the men and women are well taken care of.
"Really, it started out from one lady here in our church that experienced a fire around her neighborhood three years ago called me and said pastor let's put a meal together tonight to help out and what started on Thursday as a big pan of spaghetti has turned into five days of caring," said Pastor David Holton of the Ludowici Church of God.
Many of the workers are from other areas and say they've never been treated this well.
