SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Georgia is honoring those who put their lives on the line.
March 29 is Vietnam Veterans Day in the state. Gov. Sonny Perdue made the declaration in 2007. Since then, those in Savannah will pay their respects during a ceremony in Emmet Park.
The ceremony is at 7 p.m. The brass quintet from the 3rd ID band will play and a wreath will be laid at the memorial.
