100 Black Men of Savannah to hold new member induction

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - The 100 Black Men of Savannah Inc. will hold a special Pre-Gala New Member Induction on Thursday night.

The pre-gala takes place at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Nancy N. and J.C. Lewis Cancer & Research Pavilion at St. Joseph's/Candler, 225 Candler Dr. in Savannah.

These applicants will be inducted: Jeffery T. Hester of SunTrust Bank; Paul P. Hinchey of St. Joseph's/Candler Health System; Michael R. Hymon of Southeastern Orthopedic Center; Augustine A. Ozobia and Joseph J. Steffen, Jr. of Savannah State University.

Lloyd A. Johnson, president of the 100 Black Men of Savannah Inc. will preside over the proceedings. Judge James F. Bass Jr. will administer the Oath of Membership.

The 15th Annual Grand Gala of the 100 Black Men of Savannah, "Emerging Leaders; Tomorrows Challenges" will honor community leaders and Savannah's young people.

The grand gala takes place at 6:45 p.m. April 2 at the Savannah International Trade & Convention Center.
