Songs of healing for those still suffering in Japan

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Choirs from several high schools around the Lowcountry hit all the right notes at the Lucas Theatre Tuesday night.

More than 200 students joined their vocal talents, to help in the relief effort.

"Oh it's amazing. With words and with money, we can do so much. But when we raise our voices to sing, we are touching the spirit of ourselves and reaching out to Japan. In fact we called this program spirit reaching to Japan," said Maaja Roos, event organizer.

The spirit and song resonated through the crowd and they really showed their appreciation by donating money to the Save The Children relief fund for Japan.
