SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - People don't often get a chance to talk to potential city leaders one on one, but Thursday night a small window of opportunity opened up on Broughton Street.
Just one candidate at a time, so Thursday's meeting was with mayoral candidate Ellis Cook in a very informal setting.
These sessions give voters a chance to really get to know their next leaders.
"Every issue that is important is going to affect the members of our organization and the businesses downtown. So we're really trying to give our members and opportunity to meet and address the candidates in a way that could affect the policies that are coming up in the coming years," said Spy Gibson of the Savannah Downtown Business Association.
Thursday night's meeting was the second mayoral meet and greet.
They will hold these informal sessions every other week.
