GLENNVILLE, GA (WTOC) - Law officers put their lives on the line everyday so each April, organizers of a Tattnall County cookout say thank you.
The 24th Annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Dinner invited officers from all across South Georgia to the cookout.
The evening was a way to say thanks for their dedication and an opportunity for men and women from different agencies to network and share information.
"These guys put their lives on the line and the law enforcement community is surrounded by the first responders and Red Cross and we just want to thank all of them for what they do," said Wayne Dasher, event organizer.
Roughly 1,500 people attended this year, including WTOC's very own Sonny Dixon who served as emcee of the event.
