Event to conclude Crime Victim's Rights Week

Saturday marks the end of National Crime Victims' Rights Week. This year's theme was Reshaping the Future, Honoring the Past.

The United States Attorney's Office and CrimeStoppers will be hosting a Family Fun Day in Daffin Park to celebrate the National Crime Victims' Right Week.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will include games, free refreshments, resources from advocates and service providers for victim's rights and local, state and federal law enforcement representatives.

Students from the Savannah High School of Law participated in an essay contest from the U.S. Attorney's Office and CrimeStoppers.

Ten finalists have been selected and the winner will be announced during the opening ceremony. The winner will spend a day with the United States Attorney and his staff to learn more about the Federal Justice System.
