Saint George's Episcopal Church is inviting the community to participate in a service of Stations of the Cross on Sunday.
The service takes place at 5 p.m. Sunday at the church at Willow Road at White Bluff.
The liturgy will begin outdoors (weather permitting), along the church's property line on White Bluff Road and proceed to the outdoor altar beside the church building on Willow Road.
Stations of the Cross is an ancient liturgy which commemorates Jesus's walk from the judgment seat of Pilate to the Mount of Calvary where he was crucified, according to the church. Traditionally, there are 14 stations. Participants stop at each station for prayer, to more intimately involve themselves in the Passion of Christ.
In the event of inclement weather the service will be held inside the church.
