SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - A 78-year-old woman remains in the hospital Sunday night with potentially life-threatening injuries.
Savannah-Chatham Metro Police say the woman, who they had not identified, was hit by a car near the intersection of Wallin and 39th streets near Victory Drive on Savannah's east side.
Public Information Officer, Julian Miller, told WTOC the woman had at least one broken leg and some sort of head injury.
She was taken to the hospital.
There is no word yet on her condition. Traffic investigators combed the scene, looking for clues.
They said the person driving the car did stop. There is no word yet if they'll face any charges.
