Bonds approved for connector project

The Georgia transportation board has given the thumbs up for the sale of bonds to fund the $91 million Jimmy DeLoach connector.

The project is the largest in the $118 million bond package approved by the board at its April meeting. other projects to be funded include various railroad improvements and an interstate highway in metro Atlanta.

All will be repaid from taxes on gasoline and other motor fuels.
