RINCON, GA (WTOC) - Rincon police are hosting a prescription drug dropoff on Saturday.
For the second time, the Rincon police are partnering with the Drug Enforcement Agency and other government, community, public health and law enforcement organizations in a nationwide prescription drug take back initiative aimed at preventing increased pill abuse and theft.
In conjunction with the DEA, Rincon Police Dept. will collect potentially dangerous, expired unused and unwanted prescription drugs for destruction from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 30 at the Rincon Police Dept. 107 West 17th Street in Rincon.
The service is free and anonymous, and no questions will be asked, according to Rincon police.
The dropoff event does not include liquid or syringes.
