The Georgia Dept. of Transportation is holding an open house Thursday for the public to get more details on a proposal to improve West Bay Street.
The session takes place from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Moses Jackson Community Center at 1410 Richards St.
The proposal would include West Bay Street between Interstate 516 and East Lathrop Avenue and would include a raised median with median openings, new sidewalk and curb and gutter. The pedestrian improvements will be in compliance with the Americans With Disabilities Act.
The open house allows people to ask questions and comment on the proposal. There won't be a formal presentation.
A court reporter will be available for verbal comments. Written statements will be accepted concerning this project until May 9. Written statements may be submitted to:
