Man enters plea deal in SCAD student slaying case

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

One of three men charged with the slaying of a Savannah College of Art and Design student Sean Giroir last October has made a plea deal.

Daniel Izzo, 18, pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter. He also pleaded guilty to charges of aggravated assault armed robbery and burglary. Izzo was originally indicted on murder charges, but has agreed to testify against his two co-defendants Alex Cowart and John Adams.

Police say Izzo shot and killed Giroir during a home invasion. Izzo will be sentenced at a later time.
