The Historic Savannah Foundation will host its 2011 Preservation Awards event Thursday.
The awards ceremony recognizes those demonstrating excellence in historic preservation. Award categories include restoration, rehabilitation and new construction.
Preservation awards are judged for the success they have achieved in the preservation, rehabilitation, restoration and interpretation of architectural and cultural heritage, according to the foundation.
The event will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Olde Pink House's second floor ballroom.
