SPRINGFIELD, GA (WTOC) -

The Screven County Sheriff's Office is looking for a Springfield man who has gone missing.

Joel Landrum Fields, 57, is described as a black male, approximately 6'2" and weighs approximately 225 lbs. He is a bricklayer by trade.

Fields was last seen on April 4 at a job site in Screven County.  He left the construction site to go to a doctor's appointment in Rincon, but did not attend the appointment and has been out of contact with his family for over a month at this time.

Field's family is concerned about his well-being, as he has diabetes and is insulin-dependent, and it is very unusual for him to be out of contact with his family for more than two or three days, according to the sheriff's office.

Fields was last seen driving a 2002 four-door, red Ford F150 crew cab pickup truck with the GA license plate # GL7J43. Fields may be in the Savannah area.

Anyone with any information on his whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Screven County Sheriff's Office investigators at 912.564.2013.
