New officers get pins at ceremony

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Twenty-two new Savannah-Chatham Metro Police officers were pinned Friday.

There were congratulations and smiles all around as their families and fellow officers welcomed them.

The officers now facing the next step in their careers each one was excited about bettering the community.

"I really look forward to serving the people of savannah and doing what needs to be done to protect our citizens," said Cody Moore, a graduate.

"I'm just excited to give back to the community, a great community like Savannah," said Jose Myers, a graduate.

Each new officer was presented their badge by Chief Willie Lovett and pinned by a family member.
