ATLANTA (WTOC) - A McIntosh County man convicted of murdering his girlfriend is appealing the state supreme court.
Gregory Simpson was found guilty of stabbing his girlfriend Patricia Simmons to death in her home. One of the arguments Simpson and his lawyer are claiming that the night of killing he was brought to the sheriff's office and arrested with no probable cause.
They also took his clothes as evidence. The Georgia Supreme Court has six months to decide whether they'll approve his appeal to life in prison.
