The entire student body at St. Peter the Apostle School is hosting their own Relay for Life event.
Each class picked a time and hit the pavement for one lap and then all of the students walked the final "survivors lap". O'brien Field was surrounded with banners and posters that students created in honor of loved ones.
"This is one of the most positive experiences we have in the school because we are walking for such wonderful, faith filled individuals and their families," said Sister Roberta Thoen, of St. Peter the Apostle. "Understand that cancer has effected all of us. It doesn't matter if we've lost a family member or we ourselves have had it. All of us know someone who has had cancer. It touches all of us."
