Savannah Fire to unveil to hazmat vehicle

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Savannah Fire and Emergency Services is rolling out its newest special purpose vehicle on Wednesday.

The department has a new hazmat truck, which is a self-contained and designed to enhance operations at hazardous materials scenes, according to SFES.

The unveiling will take place at 10 a.m. May 18.

Savannah Fire Chief Charles G. Middleton will present the new vehicle to Savannah Mayor Otis S. Johnson and Savannah City Manager Rochelle Small-Toney during a ceremony at the Savannah International Trade and Convention Center.
