CHATHAM CO., GA (WTOC) - They were a sweet, cold treat, and now that goodness is adding up to help!
Wendy's across the Coastal Empire made a deal recently. Buy a frosty, donate $1 to the Salvation Army, and Wendy's gave you a key tag good for free Junior Frostys during the promotion. They ended up raising $10,000 to help the Salvation Army Summer Camp Program.
Wendy's owner David Sovchen said "We are just delighted that we were able to make this presentation today, and ensure that the camp program here in the Chatham County and Coastal Empire area will continue."
"Well once again, we would like to thank Wendy's and its patrons for their generosity. I cannot even begin to say how appreciative we are at The Salvation Army for this wonderful opportunity." says Everette Platt with the Salvation Army.
The Salvation Army Summer Camps offer arts, sports, and character building activities.
