SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Georgia is set to gain a seat in Congress and now state lawmakers are holding a series of hearings around the state on redistricting.
There will be 12 meetings between the statehouse and Senate Joint Redistricting Committee.
A meeting will be held Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Armstrong Atlantic State University.
Gov. Nathan Deal has said he will summon state lawmakers back to the capitol on Aug. 15 for a special session to tackle redistricting.
