U.S. Marshals capture armed robbery suspect

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - A Savannah man wanted for armed robbery was arrested Sunday by the U.S. Marshals Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, SCMPD Patrol Officers and Garden City K-9.

Terry Spencer Simmons, 27, was wanted by the Savannah-Chatham Metro Police Dept. on armed robbery charges.  The crime occurred Dec. 2, 2010, in the 1700 block of 33rd Street in Savannah.

The Marshals Fugitive Task Force received information Sunday that Simmons was in the area of 48th and Burroughs streets in Savannah.

At about 10 p.m. Sunday, Marshals Fugitive Task Force investigators, SCMPD officers and a Garden City K-9 went to 516 Acania St. and arrested Simmons without incident.  He was taken to the Chatham County Jail.
