CHATHAM CO., GA (WTOC) - The Chatham Emergency Management Agency will host the annual Chatham County Hurricane Conference on Tuesday.
More than 300 participants from the Southeast Georgia region will be attending. The conference is not open to the public.
It takes place from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Savannah International Trade and Convention Center.
The opening sessions will be with elected officials in Chatham County, Brock Long, Former Director, Alabama Emergency Management Agency and Cmdr. Timothy Tobiasz, of the US Coast Guard Air Station Savannah.
Workshops run until 5 p.m. and range from a recent coastal county hurricane evacuation study, to pets management and re-entry needs after a hurricane in Chatham County.
More than 300 participants from the Southeast Georgia region are registered for the day-long conference.
