Tensions heat up when talking Hilton Head education

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC (WTOC) - Signs of protest were on Hilton Head Island Monday.

Students and parents want to keep classroom sizes small, but budget cuts to the school board are threatening teachers, classroom sizes, and entire programs.

Supporters want a 1.5% homeowner tax increase, roughly $20, to fix all the budget problems.

County Council and the school board still have not decided on the budget.

WTOC will let you know when they do.
