Crabbing Restrictions Proposed

Georgia crabbers are trying to halt a state proposal to limit commercial crabbing. Georgia environmental officials say crabbing needs to be limited to boost the blue crab's population. If the proposal passes, crabbers can only work Wednesday through Saturday. Crabbers say they've already been hurt by the drought and only working three days a week could destroy their businesses.

A final decision by the state Department of Natural Resources is expected November 1.
