100 Black Men of Savannah receives high recognition

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - They can cook, clean, and remodel. That's the 100 Black Men of Savannah, specifically the Collegiate 100 Chapter at Armstrong Atlantic University.

The Armstrong group received high recognition from the national organization for lending a helping hand in Savannah.

"We knew it was our duty to give back to the community, especially mentoring, which is our main focus. We knew there was a need for mentoring in the Savannah community, so that's what we focused on." said Immediate Past President Oluwayomi Adeyemo.

The Armstrong Chapter is headed to San Francisco for official recognition in June, and also to receive a $1,500 grant.
