Wheelchair Donated to Sick Girl

Yesterday, we told you about a Savannah family's car that was stolen. Inside the car was ten-year-old Joy Thomas' wheelchair. Joy has cerebral palsy and needed the wheelchair to get around. She just recently had surgery so she can't even use her walker. Joy's family only has one car, but they're were only worried about getting the wheelchair back.

"I hope they can recover everything, if not, just like I said, have a heart give us back the wheelchair," said Joy's mother, Evette. "This is for a child who needs it."

Today, Joy has a new wheelchair thanks to the Shriners, who made the donation yesterday.

Police are still looking for the missing car, a 1982 light blue Buick LaSabre. The tag number is 7183 APB. If you've seen this car, call CrimeStoppers at 234-2020 or call your local police.
