STATESBORO, GA (WTOC) - The Statesboro Bulloch County Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual Small Business Awards Luncheon Thursday at the Quality Inn in Statesboro.
Among eight nominees, they recognized Jamey Cartee and Saint Andrews Builders as the Small Business of the Year. In addition to his business, Jamey serves the community in many other ways. Also recognized was the co-owners of the Clubhouse Family Entertainment Center as the Entrepreneurs of the Year.
Chamber Committee Chair member Bubba Hunt said "There's a small business on every corner in Statesboro, in every city in the State of Georgia and in every town in this country. They are the backbone of our economy."
State Senator Jack Hill talked about the State's current economic recovery and how small businesses are helping Georgia's economy survive when he addressed the audience during his keynote speech.
