EFFINGHAM CO., GA (WTOC) - There will be another meeting about the Ogeechee River at 7 p.m. Tuesday Effingham County Middle School on Ga. Highway 119 south.
Residents met with state and community leaders on Sunday at Dasher's Landing.
The main question at the meeting was what caused fish to wash up dead on the banks of the Ogeechee River, which still hasn't been answered.
The Ogeechee Riverkeeper said that after several samples were taken and high levels of pH, sulfate, and sodium hydroxide were found. But there are still many unanswered questions.
