South Georgia wildfires under control

Authorities say two wildfires burning in South Georgia are mostly contained.

The Race Pond fire south of Waycross is 64% contained. Firefighters continue to build containment lines and suppress hot spots.

They say another blaze near the Okefenokee Swamp, the Honey Prairie fire is about 80% contained.

Fire officials said that fire has burned much of the southern half of the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge since it started back in April.
