Firefighters help students cool down for summer

PORT ROYAL, SC (WTOC) - Port Royal firefighters helped students at AMES Academy cool down Tuesday.

They sprayed their fire hose from the top of their firetruck as a special end of the school year treat. These students say it was a great way to celebrate.

"I think it's pretty cool because I've never done anything like this at the end of the year before. It's pretty cool." said AMES Academy student Katie Grabenbauer.

Wednesday, June 8, is the last day of school for student in Beaufort County Public Schools. They will have just a half day before heading off to summer break.
