MPC honors LTC Aguilar

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - He has called the Coastal Empire home for years, and now he's making the rounds saying farewell.

The Metropolitan Planning Commission welcomed Leuitenant Colonel Jose Aguilar, who will be leaving the hostess city and his post as Garrison Commander. Aguilar has worked closely with the commission on city-wide projects including the DeRenne Project.

"Thanks for everything. We've just been humbled on how we've been accepted by all organizations in Savannah, and we've enjoyed it and we'll be back" says Aguilar.

Aguilar will be making the rounds before his command ends at the end of the month. He will be leaving Savannah for Fort Leonard Wood in Missouri.
