SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - For the first time ever in Savannah, watch the Ferraris race on Hutchinson Island and see them up close.
The 2011 Ferrari Club of America International Meet is in Savannah. This will be the public's chance to see almost every make and model ever made, all in one location. It will include a car show, races and more.
Tom Curry, of Lowcountry Paver and a member of the Ferrari Club, said the event that is also a fund-raiser for Juvenile Diabetes and the Make a Wish Foundation.
"This is great for Savannah. One of the members already brought a truck. We are all going to Broughton Street on Saturday. The city is closing off a street for our vehicles for all cars to be parked. You can come out to Broughton Street between 6 and 9 to see the ferraris. Open to anyone in public," Curry said.
The meet is open to the public on Friday and Saturday. On June 10, the races are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
On Saturday, there is a Juvenile Diabetes run/walk starting at 9 a.m. and a Concours car show.
