Rock ‘n' Roll Savannah Marathon registrations grow

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - There are more than 10,000 runners registered for the Rock 'n' Roll Savannah Marathon & half Marathon in November.

The Greater Savannah Sports Council, Visit Savannah and the Competitor Group Inc. made the announcement Thursday.  The race will take place Nov. 5. The race course starts in front of City Hall and ends in Forsyth Park, where there will be a Finish Line Festival.  

The number is registrations  is expected to grow to 15,000 to 17,000, according to Visit Savannah. The Competitor Group Inc. projects that more than 70% of the participants will be from out-of-town.

The race requires that participants arrive early to pick up their registration packet at the two day Health & Fitness Expo on Nov.  3 - 4.
