CHATHAM CO., GA (WTOC) - The Chatham County Sheriff's Office is holding a retirement ceremony for its undersheriff.
Undersheriff Donald Anderson has retired from the sheriff's office after 36 years, 23 of those years he served as the Sheriff's chief deputy, according to the sheriff's office. His last day was May 31.
The event will be taking place Friday night at the Charles Morris Center at Trustees Garden at 10 E. Broad St.
Anderson then joined the Chatham County Sheriff's Office in 1975 as a supervisory deputy sheriff and has served as undersheriff under three sheriffs, according to the office.
