CHATHAM CO., GA (WTOC) - A man is killed and another is in the hospital after a three-vehicle crash Tuesday night.
Just after 9:30 p.m., Roosevelt Dunn, 43, was traveling up the entrance ramp to Interstate 95 southbound at Highway 204 when he lost control of his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and was thrown to the pavement, according to the Savannah-Chatham Metro Police Major Accident Investigations Team.
Another man on a motorcycle drove up the same ramp and hit Dunn's motorcycle. The rider of the second motorcycle was ejected from his bike, according to police. That bike kept going and hit a vehicle, but there were no injuries when the bike hit the vehicle, according to police.
The crash shut down the entrance ramp to Interstate 95 southbound at Highway 204 for several hours Tuesday night as the SCMPD Major Accident Investigations Team investigated the crash.
Dunn was taken to Memorial University Health Medical Center, where Dunn later died from his injury.
The second motorcycle rider was also transported to Memorial. He is listed in serious but stable condition, according to police.
The case remains under investigation.
